Chopper Spins Uncontrollably into Palm Fronds at Popular California Coast
A helicopter flying near a popular California beach suddenly started spinning uncontrollably, eventually losing altitude and smashing into a line of palm fronds as onlookers observed.
Recordings shared on social media show the aircraft starting to spin near the beach then descending towards the edge of the coast, where it gets stuck among palms and a staircase adjacent to the shoreline route.
Rescue Operation Update
The Huntington Beach fire department stated five individuals were rushed to the hospital including two who were in the aircraft and were “rescued from the debris” subsequent to the incident on that day.
Three individuals on the pavement were harmed. Specifics on their injuries were not immediately available.
What led to the incident was not immediately released.

Officials indicated the aircraft was connected to an annual “Cars and Copters” fundraising event planned for the following day.
