Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for next month's bout.
Former two time unified heavyweight champion Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I will injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's largest money-making draws, regularly earning massive financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
Size Difference
As the two fighters engaged in the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
